So I get my new issue of 5.0 mag , flip throught it , and they have 8 modular engine/cars articles and 3 5.0 mustang articles . I thought it was 5.0 mag I think I'll renew my subscription to car craft instead of 5.0 . I got 5.0 magazine for .......... duh 5.0 mustangs . I dont mind a 4.6 or 2 but 8 to 3 in one issue is a little retarded . I just thought I would let the rest of the 5.0 guys on here know . Dont waste your money on this issue , it aint worth buying .

i was mighty ticked at that too after spending the $5 at the store for it, and find so many articles on non 5.0's, kinda why i used to like the 5.0 mag instead of MMFF w/ tons of queer articles on focuses and lightnings....
Exactly my point . I think they forgot why they have a magazine . I know some 4.6 guy will come in here and start saying...go with the technology , or some other crap . But I dont care . To be brutally honest , I would rather see more 3.8 build ups or articles than a 4.6 . I swear if I see one more 03 cobra or an 05 stang , I'll vomit . I'm tired of those too . Yeah they are cool cars , but the novelty has already worn off for me . Just like that really good new song you hear . The next thing you know , the radio station is playing it non stop until it's so played out you dont even like the song anymore

Here's a thought, Buy a 4.6 ... J/K I know what you guys mean. That's why I never bought 5.0... I ussually go with MM&FF because they are basically all on 4.6's. I always figured 5.0 mag was about 5.0's.
5.0 Mustang and Super Fords. Fords have all types of engines...roll with it. The write up on that blue 5.0 with the steeda intake was impressive as well as the 10 second white notch. Can't we all just get along?? And madmaxin22, if you bought it at a newstand..you can look through it first..lol.
I could look through it first but that takes all the fun and excitement out of it.... i still like just breezing through it, but i will admit, i read 0 of the non 5.0 articles
I too am sick of hearing about the damn 04 Cobra, as far as Im concerned it has lost all flair. Plus the 99-04 dont have enough destinction between the 3.8, 4.6, and Cobra. They all look the same, you practically have to read the fender badge to tell, and even then you get people who will deck their 3.8 out with Cobra stuff. What a waste of money, I hate it.
I'm with you guys, I still buy 5.0 and MMFF even when they don't have much pushrod coverage. It's an addiction. There's nothing better than flipping through a new issue and seeing a badass foxbody in it. Remember that 697 hp red fox in MMFF a dew issued back? mmmmm.....pushrod power
Im gonna chime in here. I have bought every single 5.0 mag the past 2 years or so and subscribe to MM&FF. I to am getting pretty sick and tired of 5.0 appealing to 4.6L owners and are starting to stray away from the guys who made their mag so bad ass in the first place. But like Sniper said, it is an addiction and you would be lying if you dont admit you walk by the magazine rack just to see if the new issue is out!! Maybe we should write in a bunch of letters.

I know what you guys mean , but why the hell should I buy a 5.0 mag that covers more 4.6 stuff than 5.0 stuff when I drive a 5.0 ? ya know . They made such a big deal about an 03 cobra running 10's I see 5.0's do that all day long at the track . I'm sure there are no shortages of them even alot faster than that . I dont see how a mail order cobra with factory paint can garnish so much attention . Show me something someone actually built . Like I said before , I would rather even see built 3.8's . Maybe I'm ranting for nothing , but I'm tired of it

As I stated before it is 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords..I don't see you guys complaining about lightnings? Think about the main problem...pushrod 5.0's stopped in 95...that's almost 10 years of modular engines. One, besides a ton more modular cars at show and events..two the other side is the all those amazing 5.0's you mention have been featured. As far as the fanfair on an 03 Cobra..come on guys..the fastest production mustang ever made, with minor mods it's running 11's and making 500 rwhp..if that does not make a Mustang guy drool..check your pulse. And all your complaining..do something about it..send in letters. Suugest topics that you would love to see, send in pics of your car (yes it can get you in/worked for me), ask tech questions..they listen..trust me. Did you all see the special 3.8 issue a few months back for the v6's..it was great...I don't have one but am always willing to learn. OK.. off my preacher pulpit.

I think Julian is right, there are more and more 4.6ers out there than 5.0s (Fox or SN95s) and we 5.0ers are now the "rare breed". Lets write to 5.0 and do something about it.
I'll send mine when I get off work . As for the 5.0 being older .... that is true , but they have classic stang magazines that have been around for ages . I buy 5.0 mag for 5.0's If they want to cover so much 4.6 stuff then call it 4.6 magazine
