too much steering wheel play

my steering wheel has to much play. it feels like it is loose. it moves up and down way too much i think.

how do you tighten it.?
any help will be great

220HP/ 285 Tq
Mods under pulleys,5.0 Short Shifter
exhaust Slp Loudmouth

Corba Intake
24 lbs injectors
Mild cam.
C&L Intake

okay ask your 3p how to do it
cause after i take off the horn cover their is a big bolt. i dont if i have to unbolt it then tightened something else underneeth or what

its steering wheel is loose, not loose steering, still turns good with no leaks or anyhitng of that sort
looks like the coulum and wheel have play
it had the same issue when i was going to buy it, but the guy tighten it and it was normal for while

ill ask him to marrow and i cant find those rims i want i only saw them on jegs

when you remove the column trim, there are a couple bolts on the underside that probably came loose. tighten them back up.

87 GT 308ci
mild h/c/i + suspension + turbo

check the steering shafts rag joint...i had the same problem

It's not the rag joint. It's not under the hood either.

Read this, in post #10 there's pictures in it that show the two bolts that loosen up under the column cover.
