back in 88 i picked uip a 1987 silver mustang 5.0 hardtop with a trunk. not a GT or anythin and it could hall i even beat irocz in a blink of a I.

i picked it up in texas and he said it was a highway police intercept car.
any input?

Was it one what? You already told us it was an 87 LX with a 5.0 litre. A highway patrol car was not very special. They had heavy duty floorboards, heavy duty alternators, and a few other heavy duty parts.
