Default Rear coilovers vs. regular rear lowering springs

I recently bought a front coilover setup with a k-member. I have 12-170 front coilover springs. My question is do regular rear lowering springs work well with front coilover set-up? I have BBk lowering springs in the back right now. Are there any benefits of going to rear coilover kits on a foxbody mustang other than adjusting ride height. I don't hear much about rear coil-over kits. Are they worth buying for 5.0 mustang I'm redoing the whole suspension.

main benefit is adjustable ride height..otherwise,for a stock location rear coilover, the only other benefit i could see would be weight savings...

you could always buy weight jacker lower control arms and have the same adjustability as coilovers, but with the use of a stock or aftermarket coil spring, since you're redoing the entire suspension anyway...

How much weight do coilovers knock off in the rear?

When I did my complete coilover I lost about 19lbs total. That was itemizing all parts on my shipping scale at work during the swap I think the back was 8-9lbs? The springs are so much smaller than the factory size. I didn't originally think it would be much of a difference. Nice bonus! Easy 20lbs off!
