their mustangs, they just have some different body kits on them and maybe some different interior touches but thats about it. and they aslo had a capri version as well, like mana said.
1015 ASC McLaren mustangs built in '88, the number you have may include the ASC Capri's. Price is all over on these things as I have seen one in perfect condition go for $7500, but that seemed low to me for what it was, hell I've seen guy's wanting $7500 or more for perfect condition '88 GT's. Here's a site where you can learn some more about them...
from what i've seen, they werent any different than a stock convertible other than in appearances. no performance difference. I might be picking up a wrecked 90 mclaren in a few weeks for cheap, its one of 7 black/black w/ red interior for the total of 68 mclarens made in 90.....
Yeah the main diff. is in the rear end of the car, but I think that it looks ugly. I dont know, I wasnt very impressed with them, of course Im not a very big fan of convertible Fox's at all...

I have a 1988 that I bought new it has 15000 miles on it. They are great driving cars. Just took mine from Illinois to California on Rte 66. I have done a few modifications which are very easy to do. Mine has a 5 leader block with 351 heads, Vortec supercharger, Headers, Street Strip Torque Converter, Lake Pipes. It a modifyers dream everything fits under the hood. Looks stock except for the rumble. I have a freind that just sold his it had 31000 miles on it, stock engine and trans. yellow in color He got $21000.00 for it. I wouldn't think of selling mine for less that $25,000.00. If you find one in any kind of shape at all with low miles for under $10,000.00 go for it. Theres a small network of collectors out there for this car. I know of 8 of them Mine is numbered 1458 Bright White with blue swade roof and blue interior
yup, i've heard of these cars. they were kinda sharp. i believe they were called ASC Mclaren's. if i remember correctly the convertible top mechanism comes froma cadillac allante. they were cool though, they had the capri tail lights and a mclaren only grill, i think. i haven't seen them in quite a while. they gotta be worth something.
