Default Anyone have pics with Ford racing C lowering springs installed

I am thinking about buying these springs:

http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/m...ry_Code=50SUSP

I want the C spring but am wondering what it will look like. so if anyone out there has these spring, or thier car is lowered about the same amount (about 1.25 inches), it would be great if i could see some pics to see if i like it or not. thanks!

I just put those springs on today......The Ford Racing Springs....C...For the 650 lbs up front.

I also put energy Suspension Poly Insolators...front and rear.

I haven't taken pics yet....But I will tomorrow. Perfect height if you don't want to be slammed. Also handle great.

I'll get pics tomorrow....I'm off work.

The insolators are made by energy suspension. They are the bushings on the top and bottom of the spring....to the chasis and control arm. Stocks insolators are usually cracking and worn out so I replaced them.

My struts/shocks are KYB GR-2's ...the price couldn't be beat.

It handles great....1.25" Finger gap front.....2" finger gap rear. Looks great.

But I haven't driven the car much I need to get an alignment....I did take one nice mountain rode ride. Was ten times better than stock springs.

My girl has eibach on her 2001 Mustang GT and the rears are too bouncy...maybe it's the shocks but mine are not like that.

I'm post pics for sure.

I dont mean to hijack the thread but now that you bring up pinion snubbers...

What kind of affect does the pinion snubber have? I have the factory ones and my steeda springs lowered my car about 1 3/4" . The ride is pretty rough but the car brakes and corners much better now. Whenever I go over bumps it seems to whack the crap out of my car like there is no shock absorption going on. I have new spring isolators, shocks, and struts. Could my upper and lower control arms being too tight cause this?

awsome dude, thatnk you soooo much. if i really like your pics i thnik this is how i am going to do my suspension. how muck did it all cost you? and do you have after market Upper and lower control arms? i don't really fell like losing control of my car any more so anything that makes it ride and control better is fine by me.

Ghostdog, the pinion snubber needs to be shortend after you lower the car. With your 1 3/4" drop the diff housing is probably very close to touching the snubber even when the car is at rest. This will cause the rear axle to "pivot" on that snubber and won't let your suspension do it's job. Could prob cause easier loss of control too in an extreme case. I cut mine down by about 1 1/2" or so. Or you can buy a new shortie. Probably also the cause of your thud.

Ghost Dog.....

You are hitting your pinion snubber if you didn't cut it or change it out. When the car is lowered an inch or more you have to shorten it or you will hit it all the time.

I got mine from Maximum Motorsports because of its design.....It's only a little smaller but it's design makes it a softer touch....when or if it touches. I actually haven't felt if I have hit it since I lowered my car.

But my car rides soooo much better now.

Also see I runs 17x9 Cobra R's with 5.95 backspacing all the way around. With 255/40/17's all the way around. Don't rubb at all.....But I do have travel limiters.

I'll get better pics tomorrow......after I wash her and get a good place to take the shots.....instead of on the side of the road.

thanks a lot man. i was wondering, do you also have upper and lower control arms? and if you could Please tell me how much all this costed you. i want to get all new sprinds, shocks, bussings, and upper and lower control arms, hoefully after Chrismas as a new suspension.

subframe connectors....are definatly worth the money. I've heard great things about them. I don't have them yet but will be getting a set of Full-Lenght subframe connectors from Maximum Motorsports and have them welded in.

I still have stock control arms. I just updated my suspension for the time being......I plan on a tubular k-member and tubular front contol arms and a coilover conversion. Also Coilovers on the rear with new control arms.

My car was just riding like crap being stock so I had to make it drivable again. Now it hadles just about the same as my girls 2001 Mustang GT with Eibach springs.

I personally think the front is too low on my car. The rear end still has a gap and the front doesn't.....I guess that means I have to fit 275/40/17's in the rear to fill up that gap.

The ride looks pimp! I just lowered my stang and I love it. I also was considering sub frame conectors. Anyone with any ideas about which ones to get?

Go to there wed site and search around....also if you get a chance watch the video of them racing there fox body around the track.

Sorry I didn't get more pics.....I'm using my friends camera and he wasn't around today..
