I've got a midpipe already,I was just suprised...seems too good ya know? Aren't kooks about $650? I've been communicating with the seller,he's going up north to get his 07 turbo tuned today and will get back with me upon return. I'm gonna scoop them up if all is well.
So check this out. Guy gets home and sends me a pic(tried to post but AG won't allow for some reason),1st off if they've had 6k miles on them they've been sitting in someone's yard for 2 years after...ceramie coated or not they need to be coated again. But the biggie was is they ain't kooks,to the best I can see they look like MACS. He says his engine builder swears they're Kooks but I say uh uh. I'll get on desktop see if I can get a pic.
Not to try to convince you but I bought my MAC's used and they had been sitting in someone's shed for a few years and they were ceramic coated. They had some surface rust and were all discolored but I was on a super budget as I got in way over my head with the 347 build. So I bought them dirt cheap and put some elbow grease into with a power ball and polished up real nice.
But yes make sure they are Kooks and remember what I said about the mid pipe as the Kooks need their own mid pipe. Also get the collector size.

Yeah that's my thoughts too. By the looks do you think they're ceramic coated? He wants $250 but Ive been squeezing him at $175,but hes holding at $200. If its only cosmetic I can I temp paint and bake them,or a local place will ceramic coat for $250 which I basically should just purchase new if that's the case. But LT's for $175 aint bad if they would polish up. Whatchu think smurf? Think I should do it?
Yeah that's really what it comes down to. Not sure on the mid pipe brand,I got a small chance of it being compatible and if so great. If not I'll see if I can mod the one I have if its simple,or just pick up a MAC h-pipe.
So I drove 60 miles to check them out...they weren't ceramic coated and I don't think they're painted,it's more like a silver galvanized finish from the factory. They looked in great shape though, not a single dent or crease, the bottom of the collector wasn't flattened and had zero scratches, all flanges were straight, threaded studs in good shape,O2 bungs good, and they were 1 5/8...so I scooped them for $175 and I'm stoked!
