I have the same problem. I even got a firewall adjuster, and a quick release quadrant. They didnt help with the pedal itself any, they took the slack out of the cable, and made it release really good, but the pedal in the car still has alot of free play at the top and it bounces when I am driving.

same here, the pedal sits too high, i mean like at least an inch and a half from the leval of the brake pedal. their is no slack left in the cable but the petal sits real high.

im leaning tord the cable being stretched.
