Gas Prices Need To Know Info!

I traveled from the GREAT TOWN OF HOUSTON TEXAS to LITTLEROCK AIR FORCE BASE IN ARKANSAS. and wow GAS FRIDAY the 12th of AUGUST was 2.30 a gallon not to bad but high! then a day later 10 cents higher! wow what the hell! well as i went on my way it began that day at 2.45g then on up through each town till 2.62 and i saw gas prices as high as 2.75 for regular gas! well when i got to Texarkana there was a station there with gas for 2.25g i was like hell ya. after i filled up and paid i asked to speak to the owner and she was working behind the counter. I ASKED WHY ARE PRICES SO HIGH! she said that the price of gas to fill her under ground tanks has not changed in the past 2 months and that she has no ideia why the gas prices are so high except for the fact that gas stations are being greedy and raising there prices to make asn extra 5 to 10 dollers out of our pocket and she had just gotten her tanks filled that day right before i filled up. NOW 5 to 10 dollers to you may not be much but to someone in the miltary who lives off a fixed income (a small one at that) needs that money to get by month to month and feed the familys mouth. THESE GAS PRICES HAVE TO STOP! I HAVE WROTE MANY PEOPLE ALREADY AND I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO DO THE SAME AND WRITE YOUR PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESSMEN! here is a place to start! Bush's family is in the oil business . . so are all of his friends. I doubt writing to the White House is going to do anything.

Not true. In fact the Gore Family owns more stock in oil.

The Government has little to do with the price at the pump, at least in the short run.

What I don't understand is they blamed OPEC for not producing enough barrels of oil for the high prices for gas but now they are producing more than they ever have and the price just keep's going up.

what i dont understand is there are so many smart people(including people in th eindustry) that dont have clue whats going on, @ the current rate its not going to settle till 5.00 a gallon, then we are all screwed!!!! its freakn expensive and im getting pissed o just like evryone else, i have no knowledge to anything that can effect the prices,but its sad that the people that do have that knowledge; can't figure it out.. WTF! is happening. This country needs to face a depression and start all over or something!

ps. ONe more thing ive been wanting a 5.0gt since i can remember, and all these years they have held a place in my heart. The 5.0's potential mixed in with generosity to the DIY crowd along with its bad ass looks and name. Makes it a dream car in my mind, i see my slef owning one very soon coming down to months and waitnig for a fair deal, but the way gas prices are going i mean damn, a hybrid sounding pretty bad ass right now!!!! plz oil industry let us go!!!
