Hey guys, what is the widest series tire that can be put on 8" wide wheels with 5.5 backspacing without fender lip issues? I have heard that 255 is the widest. Is this true? I currently have 10" rear welds with 275 nittos. They are getting "stuffed" under the fender lip sometimes .

i used to run 275/50s on my 90 notch. but if i had people in the car it would rub but not too much. with 265s it'll be perfect. the 275s look meaner though
