My egr valve is hooked up to straight vacuum.Is this correct?If so the valve is open constantly.That doesent seem right.Trying to figure out a very strange starting prob & want to eliminate it.Thanks
EGR vacuum is supposed to be routed through the EVR, which is a computer controlled switch. It's either open or closed. Your smogpump valves are also controlled this way.

Oh yeah, I meant to say, it's on the rear of the pass side shock tower. There should be a large one, and two smaller ones. The larger one is for EGR.
