Ok my question is in regards to Emissions.
I must say I dont have a Mustang, But its still a Ford with an Mustang Power Plant.
Over the winter I Pulled the 2.0 carbed out of my 1988 Ranger and did an 302 conversion.
specs on the engine are
91 5.0 H0 v8
stock bottom end 131'743 Kilometers on engine
E-7 Heads Fully ported and Polished
E-303 Camshaft
Edelbrock RPM intake
EdelBrock 600 cfm 4bb carb.
AOD Transmission.
OK the problem is I bought this 88 Ranger a in the fall with a blown motor . but i never
transfered the truck over to my name.
NOW that the engine conversion is done and shes up and running ( friggin fast little truck too I must add) and I just had it safetieid
Its Now required that it passes an E-test BEFORE I can get it plated and stickered for the road.
So basically I need to know what you other guys have done that have gone EFI to carbed or have modified your engines with non emission legal parts,
what did you do to get her to pass. ?
I'm running headman headers, into a custom Y pipe down into an cat then 2.5" stainless single out the rear in factory location with an regular muffler.
the truck is well tuned and runs good and doesnt smoke or anything is there a chance it will still pass?
I do have the air pump hooked up But the rest of the EGR equipment isnt installed
from what I was told is it will be tested as an hotroad based on 1980 Emission standards
whats the chance it will pass I'm worried about the NOX being out of wack causeing it to fail.
