You should of called my I know where there is a 4 eye vert for $700 is a 4 banger though!

I think you will be happy and they do make a convertible cobra wing check out the thread on Can you help ID the manufacturer of this Cobra wing that wing comes in a vert as I have one on my 88 gt. You wont have any problems finding pistons with your 8.5:1 compression, there are so many blown 347 out there they it’s a common thing.

I must jump on my soap box and try to discourage putting on the snake badges on the sides, 93 was the first Cobra fox, and there was no cobra 4 eyes foxes. It would stand out as not being period correct, you can make it much better then a factory cobra but any way you slice it is not a cobra. I’ve got no problem with the cobra side skirts, bumper (as long as its not embossed as cobra) I just don’t like the badging as a cobra. I personally have the cobra bumper, and side skirts (but mine still say Mustang GT) and a “stalker” front bumper, when its done I will have the pony and bars as the emblems, I know I could slay a any factory cobra (outside of the terminator) but my vert is still not a cobra. But it’s her car…….

Are you talking about a 4 headlight car? The 1991 vert has the aerodynamic front end. Not the one with 4 individual headlights. I talked to my machinist today and he says he can build the motor my wife wants. We're getting a new 5.0 block from Ford and starting from there. Should be strapped to a dyno being tuned within the next 3 weeks. Final configuration should be 9:1 compression and 7psi boost. That should keep it just under the 440 ft. lb. rating for the tranny. Now on to the suspension.

Another thing, the Momo steering wheel arrived today. It's really, really nice. I have it sitting on my desk and I can't stop picking it up and holding it. Damn thing just fits my hand so well, I might have to drive the wifes car just to hold this steering wheel. If you have a factory steering wheel get a Momo. You won't be disappointed. Too bad they don't make any that would look at home in a 60's muscle truck. They do feel good though!

I just did a quick-not thorough-read on the thread. At 1st what I wondered about was the budget($20K) and the time(July-only 2 months)..but it appears you have the resources to accomplish both goals.
Good luck with it,I know Mrs.FordTruck will be pleased and proud of it. After 28 years together, sounds like you know how to make her happy, congrats to the both of you

Sounds like its going to be pretty mean. Why not consider a 331 motor? As they are a bit more suitable for a blower.

Maybe he'll bring his profile back from the dead and fill us in on it. It's like a cliff-hanger movie and we never know when or if it's going to have an ending.

Just for giggles I considered your budget, and added with a short list of parts.
Of course you can save on a few items, so you should shop around.
summit racing should have most of the parts, I hope you can be discounted since you have a shop. Planning will be everything.
Take the time to shop around, and ask questions.
I think the paint should be a priority, silver with white pearl inlay.
That's what is going to make her happy.
I would guess about 3 grand for that. Next you should upgrade the brakes all disk breaks for safety. That's about 2 to 3 grand if you don't cheap out. The posi rear, and gears could be a big expense if you get one pre built with a chrome rear or a ladder bar setup, but you can save here, if you buy used . A tremec T56 6 speed, and the other parts you will need, such as a drive shaft ,and bell housing will cost you about 3 grand. maybe a little more. Tougher T56 Transmission - Tech Article - Chevy High Performance Magazineoh Yea rims, and tires 2,500 more. but you can cheap out here and use the stokers, and save a few bucks you might need in the future.
Interior about 2 grand, with nice black racing seats, and a cobra dash cluster. The engine can be bought from Ford motor sports for a good price. Add heads intake, and everything else your talking close to 7 or 8 grand. total cost 19 grand with a grand left over for the top. The biggest problem will be spending to much, because you are missing parts that you forgot to buy, or didn't know you needed them.
Just remember keep smiling...
