Just wanted you guys to see my spray painted aluminum donut rims that I'm going to use for skinnies. I'm mounting Kumho 165/80/15s on em and metal screw in valve stems . . lol

Dont know what paint you used - but have you tried that metalcast paint? With some clear you can get an *almost* chrome appearance that doesnt wash off - unlike the aluminum paint.

Yeah . . I used the cheapass Duplicolor. I've heard good things about the VHT Epoxy Chrome . . it's supposed to be the closest to chrome. I'm going to order some from Summit.

All that said, I don't really care too much, because I'm only going to use these rims at the track.

Just how close to chrome is it? I have 5 spoke gt rims that need painting. How well will it cover aluminum alloys?
