New Dyno Numbers; Issues Resolved; Race Tonight We finally got the bugs worked out yesterday and got the "final" tune done. I think we have maxed out the potential of my combo. We installed the 60lb injectors and the KB Boost-A-Pump, which resolved the fuel issues so we could turn up the wick. We also relocated the IAT sensor, because it was getting too hot and causing the engine to misfire.
The results were pretty awesome. The car made 475RWHP and 440TQ on a Mustang dyno. It hits 475hp at about 6100rpm and holds that number to almost 6800rpm. The torque peaks at about 5150rpm.
We initially had 27 degrees of timing across the board, and adding more at the top would not have helped because the blower can't move any more air volume than it already is. So, we added 5 degrees of timing in the midrange and the power curve jumped up in the 2800 to 5400 range . . . the power curve is simply awesome.
I'm off to the track tonight with the car running better than it ever has. If this combo will go 10s, this is the night it will happen. The only problem is the temperature . . . it willbe 107 today. But, I'm dialing in the suspension today and will be looking for some 1.4-1.5 60s tonight.
I'll let y'all know how it goes!! :thumbsup
