anyone use gas hood struts?

Ive been looking into a set of gas hood struts for my 89 and im wondering if anyone has ever installed/used them and where to go to find them for a good price.

i believe Texas mustang has them for like 30 dollars a set, i havent used them but a few buddies of mine have them, they seem like a good mod, but im OK with my old fashion prop

eventually you need to replace those things. good ol' prop always works.
those struts really tick me off sometimes... i need a new set for my hatch...

The struts are so much more stylin' though. I used those on my '89. Not sure what exactly they were meant for, but they were brand new and free. I took my time and made them fit real slick like. Release the hood catch...Whoosh up goes your hood! And, I'm always scared my heavy metal hood is going to twist and sit
crooked.

Redlinetuning has the best looking and best working strut conversion.

Met the whole crew at WFC6. They did not have a kit for my Ranger listed so they came out to my truck did some measuring and installed them on the spot!

One of the many high points of the weekend.
