 Which direction should I go with these parts?
Hi everyone,
I want to put together a nice little engine for my 90' LX hatch 5.0. I already have full Pypes exhaust, 3.73s, and T5. The motor in it runs good for now, but I want to put in a fresh mill. I already have a stock 91' Thunderbird HO engine that was rebuilt. I just recently picked up a nice GT40 intake and 75mm TB with 1" plenum spacer. What kind of heads/cam should I use to get the most from these parts?I want to stay emission legal and this car is a daily driver so good low and midrange torque is what I'm looking for.
I was thinking of a set of AFR165s, an E303 cam since it has the E.O. certificate, and upgrading the MAF and injectors as well. Is the 75mm TB too much for the 5.0? Will the 1" spacer hurt anything? I was thinking of having the lower intake ported to support future mods maybe. I'd also like to install a Vortech sometime in the future.
