Default I think I just bought the most expensive x pipe ever.

Ok, so I brought my car to a local shop to have an x pipe put on. I have the T56 in it so it had to be pretty much custom (the reason I brought it to the shop anyway, this is the first time any work has been done on my car and it wasnt me doing it). So anyway, I bought an "x" from magnaflow and 2 cats. When I brought it there, the guys tells me he cant use the x and the cats are too big to fit under the car. So i said ok and he showed me a universal x pipe from dr gas and he said hes put those on foxes before and i should get that so i said ok and bought it. It was $200 which i thought was pretty expensive.so after i got that and brought it too him, i happened to look in summit racing and they had one that looked exactly the same for about $75, I was pissed, but they already had the other one and it was too late. so then i call them and they say they cant do that either because the hump in the tranny cross member isnt lined up with the header on the passenger side and they have to take it to the muffler shop. a couple days later i call to see whats up and he says i can pick it up the next day. and the total bill is..........$480!!!!!!!!!!! and then add the 200 for the x pipe kit and its just under $700!!!!!! HOLY SH!T thats an expensive x pipe....

I feel your pain, mine was with my system though. Bought two 12 audiobahns from a "friend" for $100. They were used, he told me they were $100 a piece new, ended up they were $50 a piece so I payed full price for them. Bought my amp for $100 ( that actaully worked out fine). Then wires +tweader+boxes was another $50. So I went to a well known audio store to get it installed... and there F'ing packed.

Now this part was my fault, I wanted the system in like RIGHT THERE, so I went down the street to some no name place and got the job done. Well they Fuc*ed it up pretty bad... they glued the AMP TO THE BACK OF THE SUBS! Idiots... waste of $60. I ended up going back to the first audio place, and they told me one of the subs was blown! Spent another $100 for two kicers.. and another $30 to install everything AGAIN!

So I ended up spending $450 for a system that should of cost me about $200. AND I have a USED AMP. So yea... I bit it pretty bad as well.

well I picked up my car on lunch today and I can definitely here a leak, maybe more than one. When I got home tonight I noticed that the box i brought them with the x pipe in it was in the back, I looked in it and the only thing that was taken out was the 'x' piece itself!!! They didnt use the 4 pieces of pipe that came with it. If I would have known they werent going to use it then I would have only spent like $40 on the x piece, not $200 on an entire kit. And to top it all off, I looked underneath and the x pipe is WELDED to my mufflers. I gave them the 2 pieces that attach to the front of the mufflers that came with the catback, you know, the piece with the 2 bolt flange on it, its a ball/socket joint. And i told them I didnt put it on because i didnt want it to be hanging on the ground while it was towed and everything. Those 2 pieces were in the box with the rest of the x pipe pieces. So to tell the truth, I am not happy with it, it was definitely not worth $500. I would have been happier if I borrowed someons welder and spent the time on my back in the driveway.

I had mine custom fitted and hand-made x-pipe. with two high flow cats, two 40 series Flowmasters two new O2 sensors and two chrome tips. I paid $625 for all that. They also included header installation for the same price( I brought them w/ me)....At first they were going to charge 750, but when I told them I was paying cash, they dropped it to 625.
