Well my gear install is going pretty good actually... i wish my brake install went this smooth... or scratch that... my headers install!!! lol. Anyways we got most of it done today... i just gotta finish up putting the pinion in tomorrow, and worry about the pre-load... but that shouldn't be a problem. We got the backlash set at about .010" and the pinion depth should be good too. We used the factory shim, and when we tested it with the gear marking compound, it was damn near perfect... so i guess i'm glad i got ford racing gears!
Oh and we also rebuilt my Trak-Lok using the "Alternant Stacking" patern... so we'll see how that goes... I'll see if i can post some pics up later.
