Default Pinks is ruining my sleeper!

Years ago the LX notch was respected by those in the know as a great bang for the buck sleeper (lightest weight, most chassis rigidity, same go fast parts as the GT). Then came some years and some really bad movies that glorified ricers as fast cars. Then I bought my notch with the idea of having this little sedate looking car that most of the younger generation didn't even know was a mustang. Then came "pinks" which regularly pits notches against everything including other notches. They are ruining my sleeper. I did find a 79 fairmont (fox chassis) in the paper for 175 bucks or trade....hmmmm.

a faimont is the ultimate sleeper. or an LTDII. they made a poilce special LTDII with a V8 in the early and mid 80's.

Well, the LX notch might be the ultimate fox sleeper, but I think building up a MustangII is the ultimate Mustang Sleeper.

Though, the car I was most dissapointed to see on there was the Grand National that they had on Pinks All out. Running Low 10's with a V6 in a car that looks like Grandma owns it. Man I love those cars, absolute sleeper and now its been advertised.

technically, anything can become a "sleeper"

but the notch fox is a better platofrm for souping up.

thats why i want one.

hahaha... i had a maroon colored LTD (93 i believe) with an HO 5.0 in it... it must have had some wild gears in it or something, because i could lay rubber the length of my street. i got it off of my aunt and kept it for about 2 months.... the driver side doors didnt work, and i nothing else did either.... but it was hilarious.

Those fairmonts are actually LIGHTER than the Mustang GT by 400 lbs with a 5.0L.

They are total sleepers -they're just ugly.

Although . . . in Kansas City, Kansas near the KUMC there's a mean looking one. A Black Futura with blacked out trim.
