And they can be just as fast as a stick but the stick gives you more overall contoll of the car.
I do agree that you can be more consistent with an auto, but a stick is just more fun.

Ask John Force or Big Daddy Don Garlits. They use air shifted clutchless manuals Like Lenco or Liberty etc...
The difference is they are pro's and not us wanna be's and they have as much money tied up in the tranny as we have in our whole car and then some.

I knew I should have kept a better watch out on this one.

Guys keep it clean and don't toss personal insults back andd forth. Stick to opinions on the actual topic, not eachother or I will be forced to lock this one down.

Son, I have been rebuilding manuals (professionally) longer than you've been on this earth, I think that qualifies me as "knowing my ****". If you'll notice the " " at the end of my post, you'll see it was all in good fun. I don't hate automatics just prefer manuals. Have a nice day.

Well Truuble you got me there, and for the record I would take that "auto" trans anyday, but I would bet you 2 dollars that I wouldn't need to find reverse. But I don't have the 9 second licence, so I guess I'm screwed.

Talking about consistency, I have read 2 different Articles on the new Shelby GT 500 and the 1 runs 10.40s all the time, and another they took to the Track and let anyone around drive it and everyone that drove it stayed in the 11 Second Range, so you can be consistent in a manual without the help of electronic gizmos.
