Question 1994 & 1995 Cobra Mustang Owners, does your title say Cobra?

I was just wondering. I have a 1994 Cobra, but it does not say Cobra on the title. Does anyone else have have any info on this? Wondering if maybe I got a clone somehow. I was told that I can get a SVT Cobra title from Ford, but not sure about that.

does it say 5.0 liter COBRA on the engine plate, does it have COBRA fog lights, on the rear bumper it only reads mustang, COBRA rims, the hood is normal just like the v6 & gt, it says COBRA on the steering wheel, it reads 160MPH on the speedometer, the rear wing is different from v6 & gt, and of course it is standard, SVT badge on the back, the COBRA is a little bit lower than gt, check this page

you got all the little details except for that svt badge on the trunk lid. 94s didnt have them, 95 was the first year for them.

My title does not say cobra on it either. I think for insurance purposes they lable it as a gt. I had the same questions you did and the only way to really know is the VIN number. If the 8th digit is the letter D then it is a true Cobra.

Canadian car? Either way, ask them to give you a rate for a GT, bet you're getting ripped off...

Your vin# will have P42D in it if it is a Cobra for those years. No my title doesn't say cobra. Mustangs hard top are P40, Vert's P41, Cobra coupe P42D, Cobra vert P43D. I'm not positive since I no longer have a Ford source book.
