Default Finally taking the 5.0 out!

Hey guys,
I just had to share my excitement a little bit, I got my 88 5.0 this past Jan and it's been like getting a toy for Christmas with no batteries...
All I have been able to do is admire it in the garage. Not anymore! she gets registered today and I can finally drive it!! I don't have many specifics on mods but she carrys the 347 stroker with 4.10's, headers,x-pipe,etc so it's nice. Hopefully everything checks out fine at the DVM...

Congrats!!

Take how you felt for 2½ months and think how I felt when my 90GT stayed in the garage for almost 3 years until I dusted it off and put tags back on it. It was like buying the car all over again.

Enjoy yourself, but be careful with those 4:10's on rainy days.

It's one of the best feelings you'll ever have. Don't get to anxious on your first drive though. Make sure you are still used to the car(or just used to it if you just bought it). After that, let the good times roll!

Thanks guys, and about those 4.10's, I think I need to be careful even when dry lol, because I about lost it yesterday when my back end came ungluded at about 35mph when I stomped on it. I'm still getting used to the car and overdid it...but it was soo fun!

Be careful with that 'Stang. I've got 4.10s sitting in my rear differential with all the bolt-ons up front to boot. Yet, you've got a more powerful engine than I do.

Be sure to check those tires for good tread wear left and correct PSI. If you don't have some High Performance Tires, you might want to think about that. You need the traction!
