I got a great deal on my car.

1989 Mustang coue, 5 speed, with 149k miles.
With basic bolt ons for 2000

I found another mustang thats about an hour away from me, and this is how is was described in the email i recieved from the seller, i also have a link with pictures of it.

The car has brand new beautiful paint, chrome cobra R wheels and tires, 4.10 gears, tach and gauges, good interior, not sure if the frame is tied, saleen wing, SVO cobra R SS hood, and some other stuff I know I am forgetting.

The car comes with a real nice 302 with an RPM 490-520 cam, forged bottom end, fully ported e7 heads with larger valves and upgraded springs, and a couple different intake setups. He also has shorty headers and full flowmaster exhaust for it.

He wants around $5,000 for the car and the engine, but the engine is not in the car, but he said he would put it in for me for around $500-$1000 more depending on the parts needed. Let me know what you all think about this one. thanks.

I went and test drove that blue foxbody today and it ran excellent and looked excellent in and out. the interior looked brand new. everything worked fine. it shifted perfectly and felt very powerful. also it didn't smoke at all. and he claims its never been raced or anything like that. i can get the car for around $2600 since my father works with the guy selling it. origionally he wanted $3500. heres the link again...let me know what you think now that the price has been dropped by almost $1000

Not a real clear picture but from what I can see and the way you described the car it sounds like a good deal. Driver side of car looks solid in picture. You should have less bugs to work out with this car than the one that was already modded if you want to drive it right away as a daily driver. Some of those modded cars can be real nightmares at first.

I bought my Mustang with 56 thousand miles on it for 2500.. it had some rust on it but still, a 5.0 with 200000 on the car for 2600, even 1500 $$ is way to much money... I just built my motor and put less than 2 thousand miles on it and I only want to get 4,000 out of it.. but you got to do what you feel is the thing to do.. That purple car looks mustang looks real nice though.. Him charging you an extra 500 to 1000 is a little much to put a motor in a Fox body... If you dont end up going with that purple mustang you should let me know how to get ahold of that guy.

It is alot of $ for the miles. If it is well taken care of and I've seen some with alot less miles beat to hell, then get it.

My friend just bought a 93 coupe two months ago for $3500 with only 67K miles on it. I thought he stole it since it is a 5.0 with the 5speed. But the red interior kills me.

Anyway always go with your GUT feelings and if the car is right then it is right.

I only know of a 89 coupe for sale is, not street legal, NHRA cage and a turbo'd 427 SVO block. (He is asking$23K) Run's 8's.
