I am still confused. If I have the mods in my sig, and i am buying a Ford 80mm MAF with 24lb injectors, will that be fine? Or should I just stick with the Ford 75mm MAF with the stock 19lb injectors? The car seems like it could run better.

this pdf file right here may confuse some but it will explain exactly what your EEC-IV EEC-V is thinking and what its programmed to do and you will learn that yes some performance parts are scams, if you can unlock your ECM you will unlock hidden power also look at the Adaptive Control section

so, what I got out of this is no matter how big a MAF or injector set up the car isn't going to perform any better by "calibrating" everything to the stock brain in the computer. So, if you increase the MAF leave the 19# injectors, have some one build you a chip for the computer that tells it has a larger MAF then you have made a REAL increase in cfm. Is that it in a nut shell? It's like taking a 750 cfm carb and rejetting it because it runs too rich , when all you've done is make it a 650 cfm...back to stock(ish)
Okay im new to fuel injection. Im planing on a rebuild on my 302 and i want to upgrade the air and fuel delivery. I want something that is gonna perform good at the strip, anyone have a idea as to what i should go with for a MAF and injectors, im also confused on if im gonna have to get my computer reprogrammed or not.

I am having power issues with my 92'! I think it may be the mass air sensor. Car idles perfect. The exaust smells like unburnt fuel. I have a 70mm Edelbrock BBK throttle body and a C&L 73mm mass air unit. It has the stock mass air sensor installed in it. The car has a Vortech V1 supercharger with 24lb injectors. I bought MSD pro billet distributor and a MSD coil thinking it would help with the spark and raw fuel smell and it did not change anything. It seems like the powerband is gone. Car usually pulls very hard and is now gone. I did mess with the TPS at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas on what can be causing this? Car has been on the Dyno 423hp and 490tq at wheels. Now it feels like 300hp. Please help me! Is it the mass air... I am lost! Also does any one know of a shop in central NY that can work on this problem for me? banshee772000@yahoo.com

I can't answer as to why it seems as if you have "only" 300hp. If your TPS or MAF is headed out the door, it will mess your air/fuel ratio up causing you to lose power; but it should throw a code in your computer assuming your o2 sensors are working. As for the fuel smell...I would ask if you still have catalytic converters installed, if not...that could be why the exhaust smells like that.
btw...that is a lot of hp for a car that is just now getting the coil and distributor. I don't know if your engine is built or not, or if you are just pushing a lot of boost out of your V1, but if your motor/electrical system is not set up for that much power you might have some issues.
I think most of your problems lay with, the C&L mass air meter and BBK throttle body. The numbers you mentioned on the dyno, you could step up to 30 lb. injectors. My advise to you if money is not an issue, would be to change the mass air meter to an 80mm Pro-M MAF calibrated for 30 lb. injectors. Then change the throttle body, to an Accufab 75mm if the intake is only 70mm then take the gasket for the 75mm and scribe a line then take a dremmel and cut to size. Or just change the intake to Trick Flow, which has a 75mm opening to begin with. But I seriously think that's where your problem lays. Like I said if money is not an issue. There's a big difference between the readings from a stock, and a Pro-M Mass Air Meter tuning wise. A stock mass air meter reads pro-logic, where as Pro-M Mass Air Meters were produced to read injector size and not pro-logic. I really think you'll see a big difference in the way it runs, Mike. SCT Tuner.
