Just got back from Florida as the new owner of a triple black 1986 Mustang GT Convertible. It has 104,000 miles on it as it sits (after driving it 1500 miles home). It should be a fun car for my senior year in high school. My dad bought (and still has) a black '86 hatchback halfway through his senior year, now it has 450,000 miles on the original 5.0. I have noticed my speedometer squeaks relative to the speed I'm travelling. I would assume it just needs to be lubed up. Anyone know the proper way to fix this (without replacing it)?
