Default OIl and Trans Temp Sending Unit

Hey all,

Has anybody done this install? Its my spring project and I need some help. I have an aux. trans cooler and I was thinking about puttind the sensor in the line so I dont hafta drill into the pan, but I dont know about the oil temp. Also, i I do go into the pan, how hard is it and what do I hafta do. Both sensor are electronic and are going on the A piller. I have a 302 SB with a C4 tranny. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everybody.

Also, any tips on an electric fan wiring? I'm kinda tired of the old fox over heating on those really hot days.

It's simple to do, you get a T compression fitting, the temp gauges should come with the sensor. If you tap it into the hard metal line before the rubber lines to the auxiliary cooler, you won't have to ground the sensor itself. If you put it into one of the rubber lines, then you will. This is simple to do with the tranny temp. For the oil temp, you can take off the bar on the side of the engine that's holding the oil sending unit, drill that instead, and then tap it for the sensor. A lot better than drilling the pan. It too won't need to be grounded if you do it this way.

Thanks, I was planning on using the line idea for the tranny, but I will hafta take a look at the oil. I'm not exactly sure on what your talking about, but if I get under the car it will probably make more sense. Thanks again.
