Default spark plugs

I gotta quick question about spark plugs. The engine needs spark and fuel to run, but if it wasnt getting the fuel and just spark would the spark plugs look any different than if the engine was running?

running lean would be what the condition is called and they would look different if your not getting fuel in that cylinder for some reason, or not enough. also running lean is very bad as it causes premature wear to your motor...

The engine needs fuel, air, and spark... if its not getting fuel then its just compressed air, wont change the plug color but will cause the engine to detonate which can be harmful.. if you're not getting fuel, check pressure at the fuel rail, then either go forward or backward depending on that conclusion.

Lets say I have two engines, one runs and the other doesnt. On the engine that doesnt run, I just crank and crank and crank, making sparks. Would those spark plugs look any different than the engine that is running? I hope that is clearer.

the plugs will look new.. the one getting fuel will eventually turn black from carbon.

They will start to wear after a really really long time... Maybe like 10,000 miles worth of spark you might start to see a wear pattern. But it should look the same execpt for a slight wear pattern. No change is color or anything.
