Default 1992 Mustang 5.0 HO Cluster Problems

The cluster on my 1992 Mustang 5.0 HO LX is off. The tachometer and fuel gauge work right but the Oil temp, charging, speedometer, and coolant temp sensors work but not acurately. The Oil temp gauge stays low. The charging gauge stays at 18 Volts and above. The Speedometer is about 10-20 MPH off. and the coolant temp sensor stays right in the middle. The background on the cluster is white so i don't know if it is made for the car or year. The vehilce was salvaged and the previous owner put aftermarket stereo and alarm. The recomended tire size on the placard is 225/55ZR16. I have 245/50R16 on there now. I don't know if any gears were changed on it. This is frustrating the heck out of me.

You cluster is most likely ok. When people put white faced gauges in, they usually mess up the needles. You need to take take the needles off, and redo them. I am not sure the proper way to do it, but I just do it with the car cold and off, put all the gauges at 0. It seems to get them pretty close

Probably the needles in need of repositioning like he said.
