Arrow NEW PRODUCT: Edelbrock Performer II intake

Edelbrock just released a new family of 5.0 Intakes.

The "Performer II" resembles the TFS and HOLLEY intakes more than it does the familiar Edelbrock line of EFI intakes.

The Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold for 1986-95 5.0L Mustangs has shown significant gains in horsepower over existing designs in the 1500 to 6500 rpm range, and is ideally suited for street and strip applications. This manifold consists of a V-shaped crossover with an increasing cross-sectional area, which passes over to eight large tapered runners. The upper manifold is powder-coated light titanium gray. Our 70mm throttle body is recommended. 1994-95 Mustangs require Throttle Body Adapter #3835 and Adapter Kit #8025. 50-state street legal for 1986-95 Ford Mustangs.

Just to let everyone know! I sell edelbrock where I work and they have no production date and no pricing for the new intake yet. I talked to them last friday and they said it could be sometime before it is ready, they relesed info way to early on this one. My guess would be atleast 6 months.

I'm sure MM&FF will have a write-up about it. I'm always up for new technology. ZMAN keep us informed if you hear anything new.

I want some horsepower numbers! Who cares what it looks like, if it makes more power then buy it! "Headers are so ugly! I'm not going to put them on my car. You know, that supercharger is totally screwing up the fen-shui in my engine compartment. Better yank it out!"

Always like to see something new. Edelbrock is usually ahead of themselves. We more than likely won't see production of this one until July or later. They claim up to 7000rpm, which is 500 higher than the RPM of late. We'll just have to wait for Muscle Mustangs to do a tech article with dyno numbers, since they are the most thorough Mustang mag on the market. I agree with the others, it's one of the first things you see when you open your hood... I would want to see what it would look like polished... Just a thought.

410Cougar, If a hairy flying monkey ass could give me 100hp, I would not only put it on but I would also get decals and emblems that say," Powered by Flying Hairy Monkey Ass!" and my licesnse plate would say," ASSPOWR".
