Hey,
I have a 79 cobra and a question about a nob under the dash. There is a nob on the right side under the dash that says "amp pull." Can anyone tell me what it is for? I can really tell if it is doing anything when I pull it. I have seen it on other '79s so I think it is factory, but I haven't been able to find out what is for.
It is to turn the dash-mounted amplifier on and off. The amplifier was part of the "Premium Sound System" option. See the cluster of holes in the top-center of the dash pad? There is an amplifier under there, or at least there was from the factory.
