Question 1988 mustang ignition timing ?

88 mustang gt 5.0 ho what is the correct timing and ive heard i have to unplug something to do it so what is it i have to unplug

there is a wire loom coming off the distributor with a connector at the end of it that has a plug in it pull that plug out

the stock timing is 10 degrees

1989 GT: short throw,long tubes,flows with dumps,full msd ignition,140 speedo

There is a little spout thats needs to be disconnected before timing it, you can miss it hanging off the distribrutor, and i set the timing at 10degrees if its stock.. once you timed the car, put the spout back it, thats for your timing advance...
