My friend and i have been trying to find the stock piston ring size for a 91 5.0L HO V8. Summit has sent us the wrong rings twice when we asked for "stock replacement" rings. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the size or a part number of some mid-range piston rings. thanks!

these are the size you need


1986-95 302cu. in. Eng. Ford, Mercury, Vin: N 5.0 Litre

cyl dia. (bore).....101.60mm 4.000

Qty & Width....... comp .......16 - 1.5mm......oil.....8 - 4.0mm


if you are just putting it back stock here it is at advance auto parts...

I hope that the cyl got honed and you know what grade hone job you got so you can get the right ring..ie steel,moly,etc

Thats strange, because Summit is where I just recently purchased all my stuff for the build, and it was all good.
