Default 1994 mustang gt fuel pump doesnt run

I was crusing along and the engine shut off. I noticed that when I turned the key on I didnt hear the electric fuel pump sound. I checked the interia switch and it was tripped. when I jump out the pump it runs but doesnt shut off. Anyone had this problem before. There seems to pressure at the injectors but I have to get a gauge to confirm psi.

Default me stupid

I knew something else was going on. Yesterday when I broke down it was raining off and on so it made it hard to troubleshoot, plus I didnt have any help. When I check for spark I thought I had it so I went to the fuel system. Today I started check and I dont have any. This is my first Mustang so I am still a rookie under the hood. What is the frist unit to start checking for voltage.

Thanks for the reply

So your inertia switch was tripped, you jumped past it to get the pump working, and now you have no spark? I just want to make sure I have the scenario straight.

Actually the switch wasnt tripped. I by-passed the switch to see if the fuel pump would run and it did, but once I got it home and had someone to help me I found that I didnt have any spark anywere.I have no power to my coil. The problem I have is I am not sure what and where is unit is that I am checking out from my Hayes Mustang repair manual.

Default she is running

When I started looking at the ignition switch for problems I noticed a bunch of wires relays etc. It turns out the fisrt owner ( i am the # 3)
had a clifford alarm, fuel pressure switch mounted under the dash. Also you could see it was a poor installation. I tore all of that crap out of there and had sparkola again.

I was just about to commit myself to rehab from not being able to drive my Banana. Everytime I walked in the garage I had a couple of 4 letter words for the knucklehead that butcher the wires. Now it time to wash it and ride.

Thanks again for all the input.
