fuel injection cleaning!

I have a '95 5.0 mustang and how often should you have the fuel injection cleaning done and what all is involved in the cleaning? Also what kind of improvements can I expect? Thanks, Coop.

unlessn they are majorly dirty your car will just run smoother and get better gas mileage, i usually put fuel injector clean about every 3rd oil change, that may be to much, but i do it anyway.

i dont konw about where your from, but here alot of are gas isnt the best quality, my mom went through 3 fuel pumps until we found out the gas she had been getting had water in it. if you would see the fuel injector in my s-10 you would use it to. now if you have good gas then im sure there wouldnt be a problem but were not to lucky here.

The only true way to clean the injectors is to remove them and stick them in an ultasonic cleaner. Those machines are not cheap so if you know a garage that can clean them for you that would be the cheapest route. Sometimes the injectors need more help than just fuel system cleaners since the screens can become clogged with resins after a number of years.
