Default Engine compartment extremely warm

Put some flowtech long tubes on my car a few months back. I open my hood and my motor is horribly hot. Its not running hot but everything is hot. They have honestly taken the point of Cold air intake out because it heats up my intake tube like you wouldn't believe. I dont know wether i should wrap them or maybe electric fans would help. Any tips

Thats the problem with long tubes, they heat soak everything. I would definitly wrap them up and put another wrap on your starter before you damage it too much.

Long tubes do that, mine even with a vented 4 inch cowl hood is just radiating heat from under the hood.

Default heat

Mine heat up too, but everyone turns their head when I take off. Also had a couple of dudes follow me around the back when I pulled into a cruise night. I was sure happy when they complimented on the sound and said they heard me coming a block away. At frist I though that maybe I pissed one of these dudes off and they were coming to wrench on my head. I also agree to wrap them is the best way to go.

I have EL shorties, and like all the posts, my engine compartment is hot as hell, while my temp gauge stays at a cool 180. Only prob I have with it is I have my air filter in the engine compartment, and I do feel a small power loss when the engine is warmed up...hopefully Ill be getting a fenderwell system soon

Same problem here. I live in Florida and when I lift the hood, the heat blast is tremendous.
