Default 1989 motor ho 302

hello all just dropped the 302 with some slight mods i bought the motor outta GA and not sure how long it was sitting i just put it in and put some new parts on it replaced the gaskets and switched it over to holley 600 carb with a edlebrock 289 torker high rise intake i was just wondering how to properly break it in because i know i shouldnt beat on it right away especially after doing all of that work let me know what your input is thanks

Did you do a rebuild(rings and bearings) or just change out all the gaskets? If it was gaskets only there is no break-in. If you did a rebuild don't over rev the engine and try to vary your driving-stop/go, city, and highway for the first 500 miles.
