I've got a stock 351w in my 90 coupe. only mods are headers, edelbrock performer intake, and a bigger carb.

Where would I shift for dragracing? need to know asap

351 "W" 4V

380 lbs./ft. @ 3,400 RPM

300 BHP @ 5,400 RPM

according to the above info 5400 rpm (+/-)

that is just a base line.....the car will tell you what it likes

5400 sounds about right, you'll just have to make a few passes while varying the shift points slightly, then compare the times. Each car and engine is different, without putting it onto a dyno to see the powerband this is the way to find what the car likes.

the car seems impressive from the list of mods

who ever built it had a "straight line plan"

are you sure it's got stock heads & cam....

800 cfm holley ...awfully big carb of stock heads and cam

high 12's not a far reach for it.....

the only hold back i see are the heads, cam & converter.....

swap those out the car has 11 second potential

100 shot n2o you are definitely in the 11's

keep us posted on the track times.....

that car maybe hiding a pleasant surprise for you.....

btw does the car have a cage ????

I did have a straight line plan haha, but now i realized that i may never street drive it cuz of those mods..and yes stock heads and cam. here in Canada the air is worse so you can throw on a bigger carb tune it to work and gain a fair amount of hp.

will never put nitrous in lol...fake hp.

and no cage, no roll bar.

i'll be happy with around a 13 flat anyways so hopefully I get it.

i'll throw in a couple of my pics for you. I was going for the sleeper look and mostly got it...the rear tires are too wide (12") but i got them for almost no money at all.

EDIT: I guess you have to click on them, couldnt figure out how to post properly
