 Mustang acceleration problem with my 1991 Mustang
Hey i have a 1991 supercharged 302 mustang, different intake, exhaust, the whole works. Basically, i have a check engine light on most of the time, i will be driving, and while i will shift into about third the accelerator has no affect on acceleration. It seems like the engine will cut out and acceleration will not occur. I downshift and if comes back but when i try to accelerate again, it cuts out. Engine still runs but cuts out during acceleration. Another problem i had is when i throw it into neutral, or let it sit and idle, the check engine light may come on and it dies. I was thinking for the first problem bad distributor coil, bad fuel filter, or possibly bad spark somewhere. I would likle to hear ideas from everyone who knows what the problem may be or has had a similar problem and fixed it.
