5.0 Mustang Code 18 causes??

Hey guys, so i checked codes today in my 88 5.0 LX AOD, and i got code 34 which i know for a fact is my EGR, but i also got code 18, it says it means SPOUT connector? I checked and my spout connector is there, but still comes up with code 18, what would cause this

yoo i think i got that same code just today, and if im not mistaken its the smog pump. i could be wrong but check it out. just eliminate it, thats what im going to do this weekend

Check the spout to see if it is good and that it is connecting well in the plug.

yep, pulled spout out, and looks good and it has a tight connection to the connector.

hey i gave you wrong info.. the code 18 is loss of tach signal to the eca.. i have no clue what that means i have the same problem

I suggest to check all dist. connections and hunt for a bad wire.
