Default Header Studs??

I just picked up a set of BBK 1 5/8" shorties and a buddy of mine told me that it would be a heck of a lot easier to install them if I picked up a set of header studs instead of using the regular locking header bolts. Anyone have any experience with these or know where I could pick a good set up at? Thanks.

The studs work nice, but the locking header bolts are much better. Studs are much better than the standard header bolt, which tend to back off every day it seems. Howver, the true locking bolts by ARP or Transdapt are by far the best you can have.

Stage 8 locking header bolts do the job. Kind a PITA the first time on but they WILL NOT back off. They are worth every bit of the $40 or so bucks they cost when you don't have to keep checking and retorquing the bolts.

You can spend the money on locking bolts but if your on a budget header bolts with locktite will work fine. When I had shorties they were tight for more than 5 years.

And on the other side of that, I have had bolts that WOULD NOT stay torqued for anything, even with loctite. That is why I forged ahead with the stage 8's. Got tired of dickin' with them...like I said, worth every penny.
