Any Suggestions? Need Help Creating a Switched 12V Outlet

As you are aware the cigarette adapter is not switched. I wanted to create and outlet that would automatically be switched for my XM radio as well as hide some of the wires. I was thinking of installing one behind the radio and splicing into it's source. Would that work or would it be too much for that circuit? Radio only powers two speakers.

Thank you in advance!

The ignition feed for the radio is a yellow with black tracer wire that is fed from a 15A fuse. If your load is going to stay below 10A, it should be ok to use that wire.

Get a 30amp relay and just switch the stock ciggy outlet.

Very simple to do!

I'd switch the cigarette outlet myself instead of loading up the radio wires.
