Default Spark Plug
I have an almost stock 88, with an MSD 6al, is it worth putting something else then FMS spark plugs?

Stick with the FMS plugs. I use them in both my stangs. FMS plugs are a high quality OEM product and are more than adequate for your stang. They come highly recommended by many mustangers.
