Default Street Heat vs. Track Heat

Hey guys, I'm looking for some helpful advice like usual. I'm looking to purchase a new heads and intake set up for my '86 SD. I'm planning on getting the street heads from Trick Flow, but I can't decide on the Street Heat or Track Heat intake from TF. Should I mix it up, or keep a street intake with street heads? Thanks.

the track heat has shorter, larger runners for more high rpm hp. street heat will give you a little more torque down low

You want the Street Heat intake. The runners are the same cross section, but the Track has 12" runners and the Street 15" runners. Because of the shorter runners the Track Heat will more make more top end hp IF you have the motor to take advantage of it. The Track Heat isn't going to help you on a mild motor like yours. You'll just kill your low end torque and gain no hp.

I"ll throw my vote for the street heat. It sounds like it will best fit the setup and horsepower range of your ride. Also you might want to think about upgrading to a different cam. This will seriously help the gains of the other mods you listed. Well good luck
