Hi. I'm going to look at a 86 mustang GT auto with a blower on it. the man says it won't pass colorado emmisiom test
what should I look for on the stang. I need to ask him if it has been programed for the blower and so on ???????????????
I've never played with a blower before. what do I need to know and what to do to make it work?????????????

Even though a lot of older cars are worked on by the owner, I always recommend running a CarFax report first off. Find out how many miles are on the motor and at what mileage the blower was installed. Make sure you fully warm it up and take it on a 20-30 min test drive, and if possible go buy or borrow a compression test gauge and check the compression on all of the cylinders. If the owner isn't hiding anything, he shouldn't have a problem doing a compression test in front of you or letting you do it yourself.
