Default 1992 Thunderbird Sport coupe, same as mustang? Chip question.

As described, is the engine (5.0L HO V8) the same as a mustang of the same year? Also, how would I install a chip into this engine? I'm looking to save money.

It depends on the ecm when it comes to the chip.... it can be found under the passenger side kick panel. BTW the chip doesnt go into the engine it goes into the ecm.........

My point is that I cannot find a chip to apply for my car that will ship to Canada. I actually purchased one that claimed to work in a lot of models of Thunderbird, but when I opened it up and looked at the instructions, it required a throttle body.

Default Should this one work?

Should the chip at this link 91-04 Ford Mustang GT Performance Chip Module Mod 35HP - (eBay.ca item 350106119005 end time 10-Oct-08 23:49:55 EDT)
work in my car? Or would it be less of a good idea.

from what i read save your money....

my next question what are you trying to accomplish

FYI..... you can not achieve with your car's computer what is commonly associated with a standard hand held tuner

I'm not sure what I'm trying to accomplish actually. What would something like this do though? What would a tuner do? Also, did lxarlo mean the plane Jane mustang? the user advertised a chip for that too.

A chip doesn't really do much, you can accomplish the same through advancing the timing and tuning the fuel system.

How would I get the timing advanced and what do you mean by tuning the fuel system specifically?
