i have a 1985 mustang GT and im having issues with the blower motor and i cant seem to find the problem. whats happening is that when i turn the blower motor on it will run at the speed i set it at but for no reason will then drop to a lower speed, then will go back to the set speed and it will keep going back and forth like this.


any ideas on what might cause this?

Sounds like a switch problem or possibly a short in the motor control circuit.

since there is no replacement part for the heater selector switch, i suggest going to the nearest scrap yard and snatching one up out of a junker or wrecked car. that should fix your problems..

ill give that a try thanks. local junk yard has 12 83-86 mustangs, ill just go pull all 12 switches till i find one that works.
