Question gt40p motor question

i was wondering does anyone know what the compression ratio is in a 1999 explorer 5.0 gt40p and is it better than a 1991 5.0 ho

dont know the compression ratio but yes it is better, theres more air flow with the heads and intake,

i love my setup

That motor is setup for low end torque, better heads but not better motor.

That motor is just a cam change away from being a great all round motor, the only limiting factor with the explorer motor are the hyperpathetic pistons. But as long as you don't go crazy with the power adder of choice you'll be fine.

i think the p heads have a 59cc chambers.

The 1999 Explorer engine has 9.05:1 compression, 215 hp and 288 ft lbs of torque. It's not that spectacular of an engine.
