E303 vs. f303 vs. B303 cams

I was considering these three cams for my 91 5.0 I was wondering how they compare to stock and what the rpm ranges are for each?
Thanks

I would go with........ none of the above. The cam is the brain of the engine, the one that integrates heads, intake, exhaust and drivetrain setup for a specific use..... which in your case are?

I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the letter cams. I think you can do much better with an off the shelf comp cams part. A SBF really needs a dual pattern cam to compensate for the I/E imbalance.

Im doing e303 with 1.7 rockers which makes it act like a bigger cam....
There arnt any problems with the letter cams a lot of people still run them, and I plan to also.

I always hear about people saying they do not like the letter cams but I had a E303 in my 302 and it was perfect! It had the nice lope and run like a charm. Id say go with a E303 but you will need a tune.

That sounds more like my x 303 idle, but it could be because it also has dumps. By the way my x still shifts @ 6000+ rpms.

i will be using edelbrock performer heads with a trick flow streat heat intake 1.7 roller rockers. The car has a stock AT w 355 gears in the back. I want a good "street" car and I was trying to keep the price down. do you think the e303 would be a good choice and would i have any clearance problems?
Thanks

Yeah that definetly sounds bigger in my opinion, but maybe he has the idle down low ?

The performers have 1.90 intake valves., so with a 1.7 rocker and the e303 cam it comes out to .529 lift. I would recommend checking for valve clearance just in case. Should clear though.

B: .480 lift with 1.6 rocker, .510 lift with 1.7 rocker, 284 duration, powerband of 3300-6100

E: .498 lift with 1.6 rocker, .529 lift with 1.7 rocker, 282 duration, powerband of 2500-5500

F: .512 lift with 1.6 rocker, .544 lift with 1.7 rocker, 288 duration, powerband of 2800-6000

The E would do well, even with the 1.7's.

remember since your automatic you want you cam to follow with the stall speed of you torque coverter, if its stock any letter cam is going to throw the power band off, and launching will suffer stock converter a cam that operates within idle to 5500, and an upgraded converter example 2500 stall speed you want a cam that will work best within the 2500 rpm band, anything lower you'll suffer at the line, if you plan to drag race, all ford letter cams recommend higher stall coverters
