Default AOD Shift Kit B&M Transpak Use It or Return It?

Let me start of that I bought this kit without reviewing other kits before hand and need to know if I should get this installed or get my money back and go with something else. My current mods on my AOD are TCI 3000 Stall, 3.73 Gears, Ford Racing Transmission Cooler, Rebuilt AOD with Alto Clutches, Ford Racing Pan. Is the kit I bought for $75 any good or do I need to get a Transgo Shift Kit or Performace Automatic etc... I want to spend less than a $100 on the kit and do not want to do a costly valve body swap right now. Thanks in Advance for the help.

Is this kit better than the Transgo Kit? What do yall suggest?
ReCal Pro™ AOD Valve Body Recalibration Kit

http://www.becontrols.com/products/p...ages/rkaod.jpgThis easy to install kit is the most advanced, flexible, and reliable valve body recalibration system in the industry. Full user programmability of shift firmness and behavior, along with adjustable full-throttle shift points (up to 1100 RPM greater than stock) and full-throttle overdrive capability allow the transmission to be custom-fitted to any application. Superior shift improvement is accompanied by a substantial increase in durability and performance (due, in part, to our intelligent pressure control system). As featured in October 1990 Super Ford, January 1991 Mustang Monthly, February 1992 and July 1993 Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords and other magazines. Installs in 3-4 hours by removing only transmission pan and valve body. As with all of our products, this kit includes full technical support. Complete with detailed instruction booklet and all necessary parts.
Catalog Number: RK-AOD - $59.95

If you want something that will be the best get a Lentech valve body....that is all you will need...It makes the AOD like an AODE... your trans will be a true 1st 2nd and 3rd gear trans then you have an electric switch to put it in and out of overdrive ...so what happens...is 1st stays 1st...D ..becomes second...OD becomes 3rd...then you have a switch mounted were you want to put it in OD or take it out...This is a valve body and shift kit combined...The valve body is about $500 but its worth it!!!!!

get the lentech and they only run $350 on there website....and if your planning on having a tranmission shop install the shift kit for you your looking at 300-400 in work considering it takes 3 to 4 hours to install one of those kits so mite as well just get the valvebody and do it yourself

I've used the B&M Transpak and it worked fine. It had hard banging shifts and it did the job.
I now have a full manual valvebody and it was $329.

I guess its to late since I already returned it to Mustangs Unlimited. I wish I had the money to get a new valve body but I can only afford a shift kit right now and would like to get the best shift kit for < $100.00

You ought to just save the $ until you can afford the valve body...

TCI 1980 on AOD Streetfighter Valve Body PN# 432200

Is this Valve body a good choice and will I be able to do this without messing up my transmission or should I pay a shop? I've built 90% of my car but just not to familiar with transmissions. Thanks.

eBay Motors: NEW TCI 1980 on AOD Streetfighter Valve Body PN# 432200 (item 350087891317 end time Dec-08-08 20:55:37 PST)
